All jazzed up at The Palace

The Palace of the Lost City at Sun City – always worth the drive! – has just added another reason to visit … the introduction of an elegant new venue dedicated to live jazz, dining and curated evening experiences.
The luxurious Plume Jazz Lounge is the perfect place to dress up and dine, raise a glass of champagne or whiskey and settle down to unwind.

Rich emerald and gold tones, warm ambient lighting and sophisticated interiors create a beautiful backdrop … the interior design direction led by David Muirhead and associates reimagined the space through meticulous finishes and detailing.

On the menu, you will discover a fine‑dining tapestry where the dishes arrive at the table on bespoke handcrafted ceramics by Claylat, inspired by African landscapes and textures.

The opening night set the tone for what’s to be expected, with GM of Sun City Resort Brett Hoppé cutting the ribbon, before inviting guests to find a seat and be treated to a grand experience. Jazz pianist Nduduzo Makhathini made the space come alive with his performances … and as the rhythm of the night flowed so did the drinks and tasting portions, with guests experiencing a variety of dishes … think a West Coast oyster trio, confit pork belly and seafood paella.

Plume Jazz Lounge is open Wednesday to Sunday from 7pm to 2am.
