Celebrating runners from all walks of life, the first Boxer Super Run took Durban by storm as entrants – young, old, fit and everything in-between – hit the promenade to join in on all the action of this focussed and fun-filled 5km road running event. While social runners enjoyed a more relaxed pace – with some even dressing up for the occasion, South Africa’s elite showcased remarkable speed on the day, with Boxer Athletics Club runner Precious Mashele and Glenrose Xaba becoming the fastest to complete a 5km run on home soil with their astonishing finishing times of 13:44 and 16:03, respectively.
