The recent @jesfoord Foundation's High Tea at Bark

The recent @jesfoord Foundation's High Tea at Barker Manor was an uplifting gathering of more than 100 women, all united in support of the foundation’s mission to combat gender-based violence.

The event was graced with the presence of @dr.nadia.khan, a respected paediatrician, who shared her knowledge on navigating life’s chaos and finding oneself in the process. The poignant and moving account of Jes Foord’s own story was a powerful reminder of the devastating effects of gender-based violence, which serves as a driving force behind the foundation’s work.

A delicious breakfast will be served, you can browse our on-site market, find inspiration through our keynote speaker @burgette.yarlett, enjoy trend-setting fashion by @calypsocollections.shop, groove to live entertainment by @kithandkin_music, and a hopefully get your hands on one of a host of incredible raffle and spot prizes.

Choosing the right breed of dog is a decision that should never be taken lightly. Different breeds have different characteristics, temperaments, energy levels, and care requirements, so it's important to consider your lifestyle, living situation and preferences when selecting a breed.

SIZE
Consider the size of dog that will fit well in your living space. Small breeds, such as Chihuahuas, Pomeranians and Yorkies are well-suited for apartments and small homes, while larger breeds, like Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds and Labrador Retrievers require more space and room to roam.

ENERGY LEVEL
Different breeds have different energy levels, so it's important to choose a dog whose energy matches your lifestyle. High-energy breeds such as Border Collies and Australian Shepherds need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation, while low-energy breeds, like Bulldogs and Basset Hounds, may be more content with leisurely walks and playtime.

TEMPERAMENT
Consider the temperament of the breed and how it aligns with your personality. Some breeds are known for being independent and aloof, while others are more affectionate and social. Breeds like the Golden Retriever and Labrador Retriever are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities, while breeds like the Pekingese, Greyhound and Maltese tend to be more aloof and independent.
