Need to beat winter lurgies? Try healthy, immune-boosting smoothies

SUPER-C
(Serve 1)

You’ll need:
1 cup almond milk; 8-10 strawberries; 2 kale leaves; 1-2 sprigs fresh mint; 1 Tblsp lemon zest; 1 Tblsp chia seeds; 1 tsp honey (optional); 2-3 ice cubes

Method:

  • Wash all produce well.
  • Remove tops from strawberries and stems from kale leaves (save the stems for juicing).
  • Add ingredients to a blender and whizz on high for 45-60 seconds until smooth.

VITAMIN C BOOSTER
(Makes 3 cups)

You’ll need:
2 oranges, peeled; 1 grapefruit, peeled; 1 lime; ½ cup cranberries; 1 Tblsp honey; 1/8 tsp  cayenne pepper; ¾ cup pomegranate juice or coconut water

Method:
Put all ingredients into a blender and whizz until smooth.
